Directions (Grid Reference SK 200780)
The hostel is accessed through a gate (what3words: mime.cubes.headsets) and down a field track (take care, this is unlit and bumpy in places). In winter the hostel is just visible through the nearby trees, whilst in summer it is hidden from view.
From West and A6
Take A623 via Sparrowpit and Peak Forest. Turn left onto the B6049 (direction Bradwell) and take the first right. Turn right at the crossroads towards Grindlow and Foolow. In Foolow, just before the Bulls Head Inn, turn left onto Bradshaw Lane (signposted Bretton) and follow the lane to Bretton edge. Turn left through gate opposite only house on right (Bretton Mount) and down field track to hostel.
From East and M1 South
Take the A619 from Chesterfield. At Baslow take the A623 through Calver crossroads and Stoney Middleton. Turn right towards Foolow. At Foolow turn left opposite The Bulls Head Inn and first right onto Bradshaw Lane. Follow the lane to Bretton edge. Turn left through gate opposite only house on right (Bretton Mount) and down field track to hostel.
From East and M1 North
From Sheffield take the A625 and A6187 to Fox House. Turn left on the B6521 towards Grindleford. In Grindleford turn right onto the B6001 (signposted Hathersage) and then fork left up Sir William Hill Road. Stay on tarmac road and just before it drops down into Eyam, turn right towards Bretton. Follow road along the edge, passing the Barrel Inn and Bretton Cottage B&B on your right. 20 metres further on, turn right through gate opposite only house on left (Bretton Mount) and down field track to hostel.
